NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday morning as the remnants of Subtropical Depression Alberto will continue northward through Alabama bringing abundant moisture and rainfall along and east of its track.
Alberto has been downgraded to a depression but we still have an increased rainfall potential across the area.
Although average rainfall totals will average 1 to 3 inches, some areas could see as much as 4 inches through Tuesday night.
Creek and river levels are already above average and will not take much additional rainfall to cause levels to rise above amounts may lead to flash flooding across the area as well as some river and small creek flooding.
Several creeks and rivers will rise out of their banks closing roads and impacting homes, businesses and farms. High water may not recede until well after the rain has ended.
