Wednesday, November 28, 2018- 12:35 p.m.
Calhoun Police have issued warrants for a Chatsworth woman charging her with identity theft, forgery and giving a false name to law enforcement.
According to Calhoun Police reports, an officer stopped a vehicle on November 16 on Highway 53 at Richardson Road for a headlight and a brake light that were out.
The driver said she did not have her license and gave the officer a name and date or birth.
The woman then signed that name to the citation.
Later, the officer got dispatch to run the license number and the woman in the picture did not appear to be the one he wrote the citation for.
He then opened an identity theft investigation.
The driver has since been identified as 27-year old Calli Alexandra Elrod and it was determined that she had given the officer the name and date of birth of her cousin during the traffic stop.
