Logging Truck Overturns on Highway 53 in Plainville
Monday, June 4, 2018- 4:45 p.m. 
Earlier this afternoon a logging truck overturned on Hwy 53 at Plainville Rd. 
According to Georgia State Patrol, a logging truck was driving westbound to Rome when a Ford Taurus reportedly pulled out in front to get onto Brown Lee Mountain Rd from Plainville Rd. 
The logging truck reportedly put on his brakes but did not slow down enough in time to avoid an incident.
Logs fell off and hit two passenger vehicles parked at an antique store off Hwy 53 when the truck overturned onto its side to avoid multiple injuries.
The driver of the logging truck has been transported to Floyd Medical Center while the driver of the Taurus was transported to Gordon Hospital. 
No injuries are reported at this time. 
Charges are pending for the driver of the Taurus.
