Five injured in Tuesday wreck on I-75

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on I-75 between Adairsville and Calhoun Tuesday morning.
According to the initial report, a Toyota Avalon rear-ended a Nissan Pathfinder in one of the northbound lanes near Union Grove Road.
The Pathfinder left the roadway and crashed into some trees.
The driver of the SUV, who is from Flordia, was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Three passengers were transported to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
The driver of the Avalon, from Baltimore, Maryland, was taken to Gordon Hospital with minor injuries.
Tuesday's wreck occurred at around 10:30 a.m.
