Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote if you would like to cast ballots in the upcoming Primary/Non-Partisan Election on May 22.

Early voting for the contest begins April 30, according to Floyd Elections Chief Willie Green.

“We will be running three early voting sites,” he said. “The first three weeks, we will be at the Garden Lakes Baptist Church off Redmond Circle. We thank them for hosting us again. So far, that has been a good site for us and we want to continue that relationship. We are also going to be at the administration office downtown Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. And we are going to be up at the civic center the last, the 14-18 of April.”

There is one local race to be decided on May 22, that is for Superior Court Judge.

Statewide primary contests for Governor, Lt. Governor and other offices are also on the ballot.

Local voters will once again be able to vote on Saturday, May 12.
