Authorities identify body found in Cherokee County, Alabama

The Cherokee County, Alabama Coroner’s Office has released the name of a man whose body was found in a cotton field near the Etowah County Line Friday.
The body of 36-year old Michael Sprayberry of Cedar Bluff was discovered by a farmer off County Road 7 in the Pollard’s Bend Community.
Cherokee County Coroner Dr. Jeremy Deaton said an autopsy is being performed by the Alabama Department of Forensic Science.
No additional information is being released at this time.
