Man charged with theft by deception

A 56-year old Rome man was arrested on a felony warrant Sunday charging him with theft by deception.

According to the warrant, Rickey Anthony Loftin of a West 13th Street address created the impression with a buyer that he owned property belonging to the victim and sold three vehicles to be scrapped and a portable utility building.

The valued of the property was listed at $3,050.

The alleged incident occurred at a location on Moran Lake Road back on September 30, 2017.


 

Man arrested for violating TPO

A Lindale man was jailed Sunday on felony charges of aggravated stalking and burglary as well as a misdemeanor count of cri9minal trespass.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 36-year old Jimmy Dewayne Nation kicked in the door of a woman’s residence on Davis Street and took the victim’s car keys.

The damage to the door and frame was estimated at less than $500.

The victim had a temporary protective order against Nation, according to the report. 

  

Rome man facing meth possession charges

A Rome man was arrested on drug charges at a location on Martha Berry Boulevard Sunday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 39-year old Michael Dewayne Green of a Tumlin Drive address was found in possession of a glass smoking device containing methamphetamine residue as officers were serving a warrant.

Green is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and failure to appear.
