WTVC News Channel: A 70-year-old Rome man killed in boating accident in Tennessee

From WTVC News Channel 9:A North Georgia man was killed in a boating accident on Cherokee Lake in Hawkins County, Tenn. Wednesday night.
Investigators with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said it was well after dark, about 10:30 pm, when the 70-year-old man from Rome, Ga. ran into a partially submerged silo (see map in above tweet) just upstream of the TWRA Quarryville Boat Access Area. When TVA flooded various Tennessee reservoirs many structures were torn down and removed. In some cases, however, structures were left standing.
Investigators said the victim, who’s identity has not been released, apparently been fishing before the accident occurred.
TWRA continues to investigate and said the man’s name would be released later on Thursday after all of the the man’s next-of-kin had been notified
