AM 1470 WRGA Rome's News Talk Listen LIve

Hometown Headlines Radio Edition

Frequent guests include U.S. senators Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson; U.S. representatives Phil Gingrey and Tom Graves; state Schools Superintendent Dr. John Barge; state Labor Commissioner Mark Butler; and members of the Northwest Georgia legislative delegation. Local business, government and community leaders also join the program each weekday.

The goal of Hometown Headlines: The Radio Edition is to get you ahead of the news and not just repeating a headline you've heard or seen before.

Hometown Headlines: The Radio Edition grew from a daily four-minute segment known as "The Druck Report," a blend of news updates and commentary. The weekday morning program augments the local news gathering by North Georgia's largest reporting staff including Eric Jens, David Crowder and Andrew Carter. It is part of a live three-hour local news-and-information block of programming that also includes Nelle Reagan's Talk of the Town heard each weekday from 9 until 10 a.m.
